We have been a bit quiet lately, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working hard on a lot of great new things! Let’s review just a few of the things we’ve been up to and the exciting things to come!

New Official Site For The Missoula Valley Internet Co-op!

To start things out we have launched an official website for our flagship network, the Missoula Valley Internet Co-op!

We’ve chosen to launch this website now in preparation for our pending network scale out that will be beginning in the next 30–45 days. Our current coverage area, as well as phase 1 of our network scale out can be viewed on the coverage map page on our website.

This network scale-out follows the successful soft-launch of our network where we have spent the months ensuring we can deliver our customers reliable service with the speeds we’ve advertised at the prices we’ve promised. You can view examples of customer premises and relay installations, as well as some wireless speed test results from our happy customers on the installation gallery on our site.

This next phase of our operations and network scale-out we will soon be kicking-off represents the next steps for our organization, as we begin to execute a carefully detailed plan, months in the making, to begin to not just connect the over 500 customer pre-registrations we have accumulated, but beyond to the 15,000 households in Missoula county that lack access to proper broadband, and the many more seeking a community-based alternative to the stranglehold that national incumbents have held over most Montanans’.

In parallel with completing our network’s successful soft-launch, building our comprehensive plan to expand this service across the Missoula and Bitterroot Valley, and working to bring Althea technology to other communities across Montana such as the pending Mission Valley Internet Co-op, we also have been preparing to launch a significant funding initiative!

Invest In the Future of Montana’s Broadband Infrastructure!

Over the past 6 months we have put countless hours into preparing an exciting investor crowdfunding campaign with the organization Crowdfund Mainstreet where we will be the first…
